Help the PTO earn cash for our school!

You can help earn free cash for Powhatan Elementary School all year long!  The  PTO participates in the following programs that offer us free money and/or points that can be redeemed for school supplies, sports equipment, art supplies, and classroom materials.

Here’s how:

  • Box Tops for Education site linked here – in addition to collecting box tops for the school, this website allows you to enter contests throughout the year to earn points for the school.  Unfortunately, they are no longer offering the E-Marketplace.
  • Tyson Project A+ site linked here – save labels from Tyson boxed or bagged products and they donate cash for each label submitted.  In order for our school to receive credit, each label must have the chalkboard and 1-2-3 emblems or be the black square.
  • Shoparoo site linked here – this is an easy app that you download.  Turn your grocery shopping receipts into donations for the school.  We started testing the end of June and have almost made it to the $50 donation mark.  Some of the store receipts accepted: grocery stores, Target, Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Toys R Us, CVS, Christmas Tree Shops and non-gas items purchased at Sheetz and Wawa.
  • Kroger – please register your Kroger Plus Card at a register in the store for the Education School Program by scanning a barcode that will be coming home. It only needs to be done once at the start of each school year. We get free materials if you tell them to connect your card to Powhatan Elementary. You may also enroll online through the Kroger site linked here.
  • Target site linked here – if you have a Target Red Card debit or credit card you can go online and link your account to our school. Not only do you save money when you use your Red Card in the store, but Target also donates a portion of your purchase to our school each year.
  • Bring your paper recyclables (magazines, newspapers, junk mail, etc. to the school and put them in the red dumpster in the side parking lot. When the dumpster gets full, we have it dumped and we get money from the company for our school.

**Food Lion & Coke are no longer offering the Classroom Rewards Program**

It’s that easy!! Thank you for your participation in these programs – it all adds up to benefit our students!
